Loved the homestay! The host was amazing, giving us great tips and making us feel at home. The breakfast was delicious and the kitchen was handy. And who needs window views when the company is so entertaining?

No views from the window, but who needs nature when you can stare at a wall? So exciting!

During my recent trip to Thekkady, I had the opportunity to stay at Spice Cottage Homestay. Although I was only staying for transit during my travel, I found the hotel to be extremely convenient. Its location is just 145 km away from the nearest airport, making it a perfect choice for those looking for a quick stopover before continuing their journey. The proximity to the airport saved me both time and effort, allowing me to relax and prepare for my next destination.

While there were many positive aspects about Spice Cottage Homestay, one minor drawback was the lack of views from the window. However, this did not really affect my overall experience as I understood that the homestay was primarily aimed at providing a comfortable stay rather than a picturesque view.

This place has a clean and modern room with excellent amenities and is conveniently located near the bus stop.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The hospitality provided by the host, Mr. Abbas, was unmatched. He took care of all our needs and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The rooms were well maintained and clean, with the host even cleaning the bedsheets and towels after each guest. The location was excellent, within walking distance to the bus stand and market. The host also helped us with local sightseeing trips and provided us with delicious home cooked food. The hotel facilities were top-notch, and the staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. we couldn't have asked for a better stay at this hotel.

We would definitely come back, loved it. The setting is close to the bus station, providing a really nice stay experience.

I had an amazing stay at a homestay in Kumily. the host, Mr Abbaas, provided 5, star hotel, like courtesy and made sure our needs were met at all times. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with affordable prices. It was a perfect accommodation for families, couples, and solo travelers. the location was convenient, near the Kumily/Thekkady junction bus stand. Mr Abbaas also assisted us with organizing jungle safaris and tickets to cultural programs. I highly recommend this place for an excellent and budget, friendly stay. Cons: None 😊.

The hospitality here is out of this world - Mr. Abbas and his family made us feel like we were at home. It was mind-blowing! Mr. Abbas went above and beyond to make our trip memorable and awesome. The jeep driver, Mr. Lathif, was also super sweet and made our off-road trip jaw-droppingly wonderful. Even my 3-year-old daughter loved it! Highly recommend staying here if you want a truly unforgettable experience.

The cleanliness of the rooms and the delicious food prepared by Aunty were other highlights. Special mention to Latheef Sir for the informative Jeep Safari. We had a wonderful stay at this homely homestay in Thekkady. The rooms were clean and the location was convenient, close to the bus station and within walking distance of activities and great places to eat. The host, Abbas, and his family were fantastic, going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Abbas provided helpful recommendations and arranged a jeep driver and guide for the national park. The hospitality and home-cooked food made us feel like we were staying in our own home.

The general areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people like myself, with no steep stairs or obstacles in the way. It was such a relief to navigate the property with ease and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

I would have loved to see more options for activities specifically tailored to senior guests. It would have been wonderful to have some gentle exercise classes or organized excursions that catered to our abilities and interests.
